Thirty 30 Thirty 30

As you can see, everyone was all smiles except Mark. I got up ridiculously early for a Saturday to try and keep Mark from being the first one at work. But he was way too fast picking up donuts for the kids. He was still the 1st one there and I got a phone call right away. He couldn't figure out how I was able to do that. It was still in his head that I was getting coffee with the girls. After he left I made 3 strawberry cakes and decorated it with a chevy sign. He was lucky I skipped the candles. :)

All in all I thought it was a great day. He got picked on a lot for being 30 which made me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt. It was one day of pay back for the YEARS he has pestered me about being 30 and 30+++.

That night we had a beautiful dinner at Perini's and Sunday his actual birthday we did a little shopping and he played alot of golf (computer golf). Thanks everyone for the phone calls, birthday cards and e-mails celebrating Mark.

Again, Happy Birthday honey I think it will definately be a birthday you won't forget. (even though you'd like to)

I'm gonna be in Trouble

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY

Yes, my dear sweet husband turns 30 this February 17th. I hope he can forgive me for telling a little white lie. I couldn't help myself. I told him I was having coffee with the girls on Friday night when I was actually decorating his office in black balloons and streamers. I certainly didn't want all his buddies to miss out on the big birthday fun. He should be happy I didn't put it on the billboard close to Target, which I actually considered.

I love you honey, welcome to your thirties. Remember, you still have a lot in common with a 16 yr old. ( You both want to be 21 )

Love is in the air

Don't you just love my Valentine headwear? Maybe not, but my students did.
Our "Little Chef's"
Well, as always holiday's are fun and eventful days. The kids both had parties and I got to peek in at each one. That's one of the benefits of working there, I'm always around.
Then Mark took 1/2 a day off (thanks kirksey) and we actually sat down as a family and had dinner. The kids dipped the strawberries in chocolate and I made scrambled eggs, bacon, heart shaped biscuits and pancakes with heart shaped whipped topping. They loved it and said it was like eating at IHOP.
We all then watched Charlie Brown's Valentine Special and read the new books they got for Valentine's Day. It was a blessing to spend Valetine's with the one's I love. I hope your day was filled with a little love too.

Divine Romance

Well, I've tried and I've tried to put a video on my blog but it's not working. So to all you computer gooroo's out there any advice would be muchly appreciated.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day and to remember God's Love is really all the love we need and it's right there for us all the time.

Please watch this video of "Divine Romance"

Lyrics:

The fullness of Your grace is here with me
The richness of Your beauty's all I see
The brightness of Your glory has arrived
In Your presence God, I'm completely satisfied

For You I sing I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
Lift my heart and my hands
To show my love, to show my love

A deep deep flood, an Ocean flows from You
Of deep deep love, yeah it's filling up the room
Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life
In Your presence God I'm competely satisfied

Happy Dance

Well, it happened. It's thursday afternoon and I woke up from my 4 hour nap and finally broke my fever. Yes, I've had a fever since Sunday night. Even with tylenol and motrin I couldn't get it under 100. Thank you Dr. J for the pain medication otherwise I wouldn't have been able to function at all.

As you can see Abba had to take over cooking and Matthew handled all of our computer needs. The cat even participated in the fun. Truthfully, I think she likes the doll clothes.

Prayerfully, I'm on the up and up. I was grateful for the cold sweat! Thanks for your prayers and sweet e-mails.

Thank you God for Doctors who help me when I'm sick, who give me special medicine so I feel better quick.

ZOPS

We had an adventurous Sunday. We attempted to make it to church but when we pulled up in the parking lot we realized we were still on x-mas time. Oops so we drove around taking inventory of Mark's cars instead. What fun. Then we actually went and checked on some swing sets. FINALLY. It looks like with the help of some friends we will be putting together a swing set in the very near future.

After that we went and saw dad at ZOPS. He was cooking with one of the groups raising money for Ben Richey. I have to say the food was delicious. I actually sampled some Caribou. (sorry santa) We ate and then ate some more. I think Abba had the most fun dancing to the music. She had the dance floor all to herself and all eyes were on her. I don't think she minded.

Afterwards we decided to go walk it off at the zoo. Abba's favorite is still the Bear's and Matthew really enjoyed the new Creepy Crawler Exhibit. If I'd let him I'm sure we'd have a house full of snakes, lizards, and bugs galore.

Then we came home and played in the neighbor's backyard. They are on a mini vacation so while babysitting the dogs we got to babysit their outdoor playground too. Thanks ya'll.

Right now I'm feeling better but I took some TheraFlu NIGHT. It's amazing I'm still awake. On my little chalkboard I keep out in the kitchen is written: "Pray for Good Health".

I LOVE NY

Yes, Yes, I'm wearing my I LOVE NY t-shirt today. Mostly to rub it in to Kirksey that his teams lost. 1st of all I have to admit this is the only football game I've watched all season. Mark said "Are you really going to watch the Super Bowl?" I told him it would be un-American to not. Kind of like not watching fireworks on the 4th of July. So I laid up on the sofa watching football aching from fever while mark played golf on the computer. In all honesty the only sports we watch on our TV is the Bass Masters.

It was some seriously sloppy football until the 4th quarter; Fumbles, Interceptions, Penalty after Penalty and then too many players on the field. Mark continued to harrass me about who I wanted to win. As a mom I wanted them all to win. They are all the best at what they do and deserved to be recognized. However, New England didn't stand a chance against NY's defense. Poor Brady was smacked down and pushed around and abused like a punching bag. He never had the opportunity to make great plays he was always on the ground. In all honesty, I was excited for both teams when they made great plays. Toomer? He was great! He was like a magnet when it came to catching the football.

Enough of that, I'll post some pictures later of the fun Sunday we had before I started feeling crummy. AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE on Tuesday! That would also be Un-American. Especially in this history making election. Every vote counts.
